Our Mission

To heal and nurture the Earth and all the living things that make it their home.

The Climate Crisis: Tipping point or turning point?

In the late 1800s, at the beginning of the industrial revolution, humans started burning large quantities of fossil fuels such as oil, gasoline, and coal. This began the emission of gases such as CO2, also known as greenhouse gases (GHG). Over 200 years these gases – which continue to increase rapidly today – have trapped heat, similar to the way a glass roof of a greenhouse traps heat. This is the cause of the climate change we all now experience and that threatens humanity today.

Because of this trapped heat, which adds an ever growing “blanket” around the planet’s natural atmosphere, the Earth’s temperature is still rising steadily. If we don’t take action to stop this rise, the Earth may become inhabitable.

Army of Volunteers is on a mission to make this tipping point the turning point, to practices that will sustain the earth and life.

Climate Solutions

The Army of Volunteers’ work to solve the climate crisis is best described by explaining four things:

  • The Global Work on Climate (What’s being done around the world) Learn more
  • The Circular Economy (Waste becomes raw material for new products – nothing is thrown away) Learn more
  • Our Climate Strategy (What we do to contribute to the solution) Learn more
  • Technologies we support (How we help the companies dedicated to make a difference for the climate) Learn more

About Us

Army of Volunteers for Earth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, formed in 2020 and operating since February 2021. We believe the greatest risk for humanity is climate change, which risks making Earth uninhabitable.

Our strategy to combat climate change is to create a global network of climate volunteers, who promote new technologies that benefit the climate.
