Dr. Ray Kronquist, Founder and President

I was born and grew up in the Northwest of the U.S., in Washington State. After living in Germany, Boston and France, I’ve settled in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.

Along the way, I earned a Ph.D. in plasma physics, worked in the semiconductor industry and spent most of my career as an entrepreneur, starting and managing companies.

I founded Army of Volunteers for Earth at the beginning of 2021 with the mission of combating climate change and making the Earth safe for humans and all living things that make it their home.

My athletic career was late and short. I ran my only marathon at the age of 68, and I played on the Mission College tennis team at the age of 72. At the age of 83, I still go for a run before breakfast.

At Army of Volunteers, I’m struck by how one volunteer gets an idea, makes an introduction or finds some information, then passes it on to the next volunteer, who passes it on again. This is much like a soccer team whose members move the ball down the field. Then an opportunity opens up that none of us could have created by ourselves.

It’s exciting to work with our team of dedicated volunteers and partners who promote the breakthrough technologies that may save our planet from a climate disaster. Come and join us.
